Charlie Chapman is a 3 year 58 lb. American Pit Bull who was found wandering the mean city streets looking for a scrap of food, when he was picked up by an animal control officer and brought to the city shelter. There he sat and waited, and contracted Kennel Cough, and found himself on the euthanasia list, since he could no longer be adopted out with a cold. A very compassionate man took him in to NJ home to save his life and get him over his cold, get him neutered, teach him manners, and socialization. Throughout all this, Chapman has remained a very affectionate and sweet boy who longs to bond with his owner. Here is what his foster dad had to say about him.

Chapman likes to play with his ball and carry it everywhere we go---even when we go outside to go to the bathroom! He loves any rawhide and is a bit possesive and growly but wont bite. He just needs the right environment. Hes trained well and will bark when he has to go out and will go get his leash and bring it to you. He does his business and then runs back inside to get his treat. He is a very happy dog and is extremely interested in everything he sees and hears. He is not aggressive towards other animals but will chase a cat. He still would be better off in a home where he is the only animal. He likes to snuggle under the covers and will sit on a couch happily for hours. And he also likes to give kisses.
