Avey, a 10 year old cinnamon colored Pit Mix, was saved from Death Row from an overcrowded city shelter, thanks to a wonderful foster who stepped up for her to save her life, Avey walks well on the leash and is housebroken. She doesn't chew, jump or bark. She likes cats but doesn't like all dogs. She does get along well with the foster’s 13 yo dog who is submissive. She is a very healthy dog that doesn't show her age at all and is not on any meds. Her previous owners raised her and had her for 10 yrs but turned her into MACC due to allergies (yeah, right). In her intake pic she looked so sad & lost and when I got her she hadn't eaten in 3 weeks and went from kc to pneumonia. She survived that and is now healthy. Avey just wants to be with the person she lives with. Doesn't get on the furniture except when invited. Is not food aggressive and takes treats well. She would do best in a home with adults and older children who will not swarm her. She did OK with my 3 grandkids, ages 20 mos, 4 yrs & 6 yrs, but they left her alone for the most part. She would do well in a home with cats if left alone all day. Avey is up to date on shots, microchipped, super affectionate and would be your best buddy.
